Our editor Push has just found this ticket for a “Gary Numan Tubeway Army Disco” at The Flag in Wembley buried deep in a drawer of his desk. He thinks it’s from 1986 and, as well as the disco, the night included a live performance by Hohokam, which Push reviewed for Melody Maker. Anyone out there remember Hohokam? They were an early signing to Gary Numan’s Numa label, releasing three singles between 1984 and 1986. They also recorded an album which was co-produced by Numan and his long-time cohort Ade Orange, but it never saw the light of day.

Hohokam’s second single, ‘Harlequin Tears’, was the biggest-selling non-Numan release on Numa. The video for the track was made by Philip Jap, who himself had a minor hit with ‘Save Us’ in 1982. Anyone remember him too?
