Exciting news! Electronic Sound has just launched our investment crowdfunding campaign on Crowdcube and we’re running a fantastic competition to celebrate, with a handsome set of Kraftwerk vinyl rarities up for the grabs for the lucky winner. Everybody who invests in our campaign will become a shareholder in Electronic Sound and you can invest from as little as £10.
The four Kraftwerk 12-inch records were issued almost 20 years ago, as part of a promotional effort centred around the group’s appearance at the 1997 Tribal Gathering festival. There were just 1,000 copies of each record manufactured, pressed on heavy vinyl and with typically minimal and elegant covers, all themed using the showroom dummy/robot graphic. The version of ‘Trans Europe Express’ is an instrumental and is unique to this release.
We have an unplayed set of the records (taken from the personal collection of Electronic Sound’s editor) and we’re going to give them away to one lucky investor in our Crowdcube campaign. If you pledge an investment before midnight on Boxing Day, your name will be automatically entered into a prize draw, with the winner drawn from a hat when our campaign ends at the beginning of February 2017. Click here to learn more and make your investment. If you have made your pledge already, your name will also go into the hat. Please note that no payment will be taken from you until after the campaign closes.
